Ph.D scholarship in “Modelling land surface fluxes of CO2 in response to climate variation and nitrogen deposition”

Petronas Scholarship Ph.D. partly funded by the Strategic Research Council as part of a larger national project (ECOCLIM) coordinated by the Department of National Atmospheric Environmental Research Institute (Neri), University of Aarhus. This Petronas Scholarship is for a period of 3 years and should be completed as soon as possible, in the region.

Objectives Details:

Petronas Scholarship Changes in climate, nutrient availability and impact of nitrogen deposition is an uncertainty for the prediction of future greenhouse gas exchange came as a mechanism that describes the effect of nutrition that has not been developed in climate and ecosystem models. The aim of the PhD project is to develop a model of canopy soil surface that is able to simulate the atmospheric CO2 flux (Denmark) agricultural and forest canopy and sensitivity to climate variations and levels of nitrogen deposition.Petronas Scholarship For this purpose, a PhD project aims to incorporate biophysically canopy conductance model based on photosynthesis-stomatal (eg Collatz model) and model ammonia compensation point. http://www.callforpapersinfo.com
http://thescholarshipprogramme.com Like the model of the integrated system will allow more realistic estimates of nitrogen deposition velocity, and impact of nutrient (nitrogen) availability on the flux of CO2 can be represented in terms of leaf photosynthetic capacity. The Petronas Scholarship system model will be used to predict canopy CO2 flux response to climate variations and nitrogen deposition.
